What we do

We offer private Physiotherapy and Hydrotherapy to anyone who requires help to achieve normal movement and pain relief. This is usually through the form of exercise and direct ‘hands on’ treatment from Annette or Becky.
We are based at Total Fitness in Handforth Dean, and have access to the hydrotherapy pool, a physiotherapy treatment room and first rate gym facilities.

Hydrotherapy and Physiotherapy treatments are offered for all types of patients at any stage of their condition.

Conditions regularly treated are:
Neurological conditions e.g. Stroke, Multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, Cerebral Palsy, head injuries, spinal cord injuries
Rheumatalogical conditions e.g. Rheumatoid arthritis, Fibromyalgia, , Ankylosing Spondylitis.
Musculoskeletal problems e.g. sports sprains and strains, osteoarthritis, back problems, post surgery, hypermobility , following joint replacements, scoliosis/ kyphosis,
Generalised pain, stiffness, osteoporosis,
Special needs adults and children

Hydrotherapy is provided via:
• Assessment
• Mobilisations
• Specific hydrotherapy techniques
• Fascilitation of normal movement using the unique properties of the water
• Exercise programmes specifically tailored to your individual needs

Hydrotherapy can be the sole choice of treatment at a particular stage in rehabilitation or it may be used alongside physiotherapy.
Patients can be progressed through to full dry land rehabilitation as needed.
We are able to provide hydrotherapy to compliment an existing physiotherapy regime and will liaise with a patients existing physiotherapist.
We can also provide the environment to continue treatment following on from NHS hydrotherapy or between episodes of NHS hydrotherapy.

Physiotherapy and Hydrotherapy can be for recovery from an injury, injury prevention and rehabilitation or on a maintenance basis to help prevent or prolong further deterioration of progressive conditions.
